BIOGRAPHY

John McFee is a world-renowned multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, songwriter and longtime member of The Doobie Brothers. Before joining the Doobies on guitar, violin, pedal steel, and vocals in the late seventies, John’s varied musical interests were reflected in his own career. He has recorded with Van Morrison, The Grateful Dead, Carlene Carter, Steve Miller, Emmylou Harris, Boz Scaggs, Elvis Costello, John Michael Montgomery, Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, Ricky Scaggs, Nick Lowe, Pam Tillis, Chicago, The Beach Boys, and many others. He was also a longtime member of the group Clover, which was to evolve into Huey Lewis and the News, and was a founding member of country-rock group Southern Pacific, who went on to release five albums with several number one and top ten hits on the country charts. When not touring or recording with The Doobie Brothers McFee, a native Californian, resides near Santa Barbara with his wife Marcy.
