Footcontrollers for Spider 4

Is the regular FBV compatible with the Spider 4 or is the FBV Shortboard MkII the biggest and most versatile foot controller that I can get for my Spider 4?  I was wondering if the FBV Shortboard is connected to the Spider 4 with a cable or if it is a wireless foot controller.

It's connected with a cable.
