previewing custom tone

Can custom tones be previewd before downloading? Would the tones be accessible simply by adjusting the knobs on the amp or is "deep editing" needed?

RE: previewing custom tone

Hello,

Currently, there is no way to review tones on Custom Tone but I'd suggest you log a feature request for that as I think that would be a cool feature.

The short answer is no, but they can be after downloading.

If you use the L6 Editor, opening a patch file causes it to be loaded to the temporary buffer area and not written to the amp.

If the patch is incompatible, Edit will substitute known [supported] amp models for one that isn't so the tone may not sound exactly liek the original intended.

You can "preview" as many patches from custometone as you like using this method, except that you have to download the patch first. They are small tho'

It depends on the patch in question. In some cases you will be able to do that, but in most [?] you will need the deep edit capability, as not all features are available/accessible from the controls on the amp itself.
