UX1 Recording Acoustic

Hello,

I have recorded with my acoustic using the 1/4 inch standard input but it sounds rather electonic..  I'm not sure if it's the pickup which is a piezo or if there is a better way to record.  My Strat sounds great though with no issues there..  Can I use a mic in the xlr port or can I use an acoustic directly connected using an xlr output?  What type of mic would be recommended?  Also  I see that the UX1 does not supply phantom power can a separate power supply be used?  Any info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

RE: UX1 Recording Acoustic

Hello,

You may not like the way the piezo it interpretting the sound, so you can try using a mic instead.  Any full range dynamic mic will give a more "traditional" acoustic sound, talk to your local dealer to see what options they have for you.

RE: UX1 Recording Acoustic

Hi,

In regards to POD Farm settings, the only advice is to start with one of the "Preamps" and experiment with the console models. You may wish to try the Compressor to help even out dynamics. Use reverb, delays to taste.
