sdoran The stomp lowers the volume a tad, and adds a little fuzz. The mod adds that watery peaceful sounds, and of course delay adds a little repeat of what you're playing. I decided to turn the wah off, but is used in the song. You can copy this and make one with the wah on so you can use it during the catchy little riff thing. Adding some delay at that part makes it sound like the recording. You'll figure out which parts of the song use which effect combinations -) 3/30/06 humbucker

sdoran Tone Summary Enough Overdrive to give a nice thick sound while providing a nice smooth tone on the high frets that comes out in the mix, especially for high speed sweeps, tapping, and straight up soloing. Modify to your heart's content. Gate I have it high because I can get sloppy up high on the neck. Put it low if you don't need it, but I don't suggest getting rid of it since it'll sorta buzz due to the overdrive. I find that using the Bridge Pickup for this helps it sound better. For kicks, you could but on the Mod (Sine Chorus) and give some more glow and body to it. Also, you can turn on the EQ to give more of a boost during the solos. If you want, you should save this in one tone slot, and then save this with the EQ on in another one so you can be fancy and switch to give your solos more kick when you want, and then switch back for more Chugga Chugga. Without the Stomp (Screamer), it lets you have a more subdued distortion. Use your bridge pickup to get a less beffier sound, but still have enough. It can give an edginess to the notes higher up on the fretboard too. Use your neck pickup to obviously get more beef, but also have more smooth notes that are higher up on the fretboard. MY SET UP Gibson Les Paul Studio Output Mode Combo Poweramp Input Pad (That switch in the back) Amp Vox Valvetronix 50ADVT on Boutique Clean. Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
