POD HD500

Winter Franken Edgar Winter Frankenstein Edgar Winter Classic Rock 256
thewhites Best if used with a humbucker. This is the crazy keyboard sound at the end of the keyboard solo. To make this work best you must use a purple or green pick, or maybe even a red pick with white dots. Use the edge of the pick and beat down hard on the strings and play in time with the delay. If you hit straight down you get the tight hard sounds, barely slide the pick along the strings while doing the same thing above and youll get that crazy pitchy sound. also the lower strings with give you the higher pitch in this keyboard sound probable because of the harmonics it produces. Have fun. This sound comes with rave reviews from my hard to please fiancee who hates it when I practice. I had her listen to it and she asked if that was it for the night and when I said yes she said "sounds great". Please rate this sound for me. I spend quite a bit of time doing this so I would like to know what you all think. 12/4/12

Smooth Lead Class A-15 332
thewhites This is one of my lead patches. It was written using a JTV Variax into POd HD500 in studio direct mode into L3t speaker in Monitor mode. The expression 2 pedal controls the amount of mix of delay. If you turn on FS4 you the treble on on your variax will turn into a whammy pull up bar and the volume on variax will dive like a whammy bar. Make sure both vol and treble knobs are set at full on position b4 you engage fs4. The more you move them to the off or zero position the more whammy effect you will have. To enhance this even more use the wah while using the whammy effect and also play with the delay mix on expression 2 7/19/12

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
