POD® Live is a multi-effect floor processor that provides premium guitar tone and professional features in one stage-ready unit. It delivers a wide range of Vetta II-class stompbox, studio, synth effects, amplifier and cabinet models, plus a digital Variax input, and USB computer connectivity.

PODXT Live can be used as the ultimate multi-effect pedal for any guitar amp, a complete direct PA solution, or creative recording device for studio guitar work. POD Live provides over 80 sought-after models of stompbox and studio effects. Aside from an extensive collection of reverb choices, POD Live includes some of the most popular distortion, compressor, chorus, flanger, rotary, synth, filter, and delay effect models ever assembled.

It features 42 amplifier models, 24 cab models and 4 microphone model options providing a complete tonal palette for any type of live gig or studio session. The amp and cab models can be positioned in front of or behind the amp model, offering organic and classic tonal possibilities available in the most high-end guitar stage rigs.

POD Live provides access to 128 presets via gig-ready channel footswitches. Features also include a large backlit display, dedicated stompbox on/off switches, combination wah/volume pedal, tap tempo/silent tuner switch, an expression pedal input, stereo 1/4-inch analog Amp/Line outs, headphone out, aux input for CD/Mp3 playback, MIDI, and USB computer connectivity for digital I/O and deep editing using free Line 6 Edit/GuitarPort software.

In addition to the standard analog guitar input, a Variax Modeling Guitar digital input seamlessly integrates an electric or acoustic Variax's collection of guitars with POD Live’s assortment of amps, cabs, and effects. This entire setup can be instantly transformed into virtually any rig with just the press of a footswitch.

How is PODXT Live different than PODXT and PODXT Pro?

POD Live is a complete guitar tone rig built into a rugged, live performance oriented foot controller. The foot controller gives you direct patch access, “Stomp” switches to toggle individual effects, and the ability to set your tempo and tune your guitar. The unit has the same basic connections as a POD (bean), but in addition to traditional analog ins and outs, POD Live features a Variax digital input/output jack. This allows you to digitally connect a Line 6 Variax guitar with a single cable to POD Live which powers the guitar, carries your guitar’s sound output, and allows the Variax to receive preset sounds from the POD Live. A single step on a preset switch will reconfigure your effects, amp and cab model - plus set the guitar model and tone information on a connected Variax!
