Mike Eldred

The Mike Eldred Trio

BIOGRAPHY

Mike Eldred started playing guitar at age 14. “My folks bought me a guitar, but I couldn’t really play it until a buddy tuned it up, and taught me “Oh Carol” by Chuck Berry.” “My first blues concert which was Lightnin’ Hopkins. I think I was 16 years old. It blew my mind.”   Playing in bars, weddings, high schools, etc., Mike got a call from Brian Setzer’s guitar tech who had passed Eldred’s 4 track demo to Lee Rocker. Mike recorded three CD’s with Lee and finally stepped out with his own to form the Mike Eldred Trio.   Mike has had spotlights in Guitar Player Magazine, and Guitar World Magazine, Downbeat, and several others.   The Mike Eldred Trio has put out three records, and is working on their forth. The band’s last record, “Baptist Town” was voted one of the Top Ten releases of 2016 by the Los Angeles Times.
