Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

The Victoria amp has helped me hunt down the tone I've been looking for for years. A thick tone, good mids that sounds heavy but without being overly gainy. I haven't added Snapshots yet, so you can use this in 10 stomp mode. With all of the stomps turned off, it's a nice, dirty tone. I've tried to include a batch of different stomps that will significantly alter the sound without going too high-gain - though you an get fuzzed out of your gourd. The EP Comp is set to push the Victoria into a natural dirty OD, adding in the PDF Mid-Boost throws hair on the sound. In fact, the PDF Boost is probably the most significant stomp on here. It adds a bunch of mids that take the sound from OD to near-fuzz, but musical fuzz (I love fuzz, but I find it hard to dial in on modelers). The Thrifter (great pedal BTW) and Big Muff round out the drives. Evil Octave is a close simulation of Homme's The Evil Has Landed into sound. The Space Echo's feedback setting is mapped to Exp 2, as is the Uni-Vibe's rate. This isn't exact QotSA, but I can get very convincing Homme thickness out of this. FWIW, I did this using my Mascis Jazzmaster and I found the results outstanding. I've been playing through the EoDM version of Moonage Daydream and tuning down to C for Mexicola - very satisfying. Good basic Sabbath as well. [At the beginning of B1 is a greyed out LA Comp. It's not mapped to a FS, but I usually use that as a sweetener, like adding some comp at the mixing desk. I have it off, but you can play with it. The effect is subtle and one I usually use, but the Vicki doesn't seem to need it]
